Amazon 2025 Seller Fees & New Incentives

Amazon has unveiled its 2025 fee updates for sellers, and the news is overwhelmingly positive. In a departure from previous years, Amazon confirmed that it will not increase its standard referral fees or Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) fees in 2025. This commitment to fee stability means sellers can breathe a sigh of relief knowing their costs for selling on Amazon will remain steady in the coming year.

Moreover, Amazon is not introducing any new fee categories or surcharges. In recent years, sellers had grown accustomed to new fees (such as holiday surcharges) creeping in, but 2025 brings no new fee types to worry about. In fact, some costs are being reduced. For instance, certain fulfillment fees for large and bulky items will decrease, making it more affordable for sellers who deal in oversized products.

Amazon has announced an average reduction of about $0.58 per unit on select inbound shipment fees for large items, and even waivers for up to 100 units of new, qualifying products added under its FBA New Selection program. These changes aim to encourage sellers to introduce new products (including heavier goods) by lowering the cost barriers associated with storing and shipping them.

In addition to maintaining and lowering fees, Amazon is rolling out enhanced incentives for new sellers and new product listings. Through the expanded New Seller Incentives program, brand-new sellers joining the Amazon marketplace can earn hefty credits and discounts for example, up to $400 in FBA inbound shipping credits if they send inventory within the first 90 days of launching.

Similarly, the FBA New Selection program is being boosted, offering perks like free storage, free removals, and return fee waivers for new ASINs (product listings) added to FBA. These incentives make it more enticing to launch new products on Amazon, effectively rewarding sellers for expanding their catalogs.

For Amazon sellers, the key takeaways are clear: 2025 will bring fee stability and even some cost reductions. With no increases in selling fees, you can plan your finances with greater certainty. Take advantage of Amazon’s new incentives by exploring the New Seller Incentives if you’re just starting out, or enroll new products in the FBA New Selection program to benefit from fee waivers.

These changes not only help with immediate cost savings but also signal Amazon’s intent to support sellers’ growth. All in all, Amazon’s 2025 fee update is welcome news, aimed at fostering a more profitable and growth-friendly environment for marketplace sellers.
