Walmart Marketplace is kicking off 2025 with a host of new features aimed at helping sellers boost sales and expand their reach. One major addition is the new “Deals Dashboard,” a tool that streamlines how sellers participate in Walmart’s promotional events and sales. This dashboard lets sellers easily enroll products in upcoming deals (such as holiday promotions or seasonal sales) with just a few clicks. It also provides valuable data and insights on deal performance, so sellers can refine their offers and maximize their success during high-traffic sales events.

In addition to promotion management, Walmart is making it simpler for marketplace sellers to go global. New cross-border selling tools allow U.S. Walmart Marketplace sellers to list products internationally including in Canada, Mexico, and even select markets in South America more seamlessly. Through an upgraded Seller Center experience, sellers can now expand to multiple countries in a few clicks, managing international listings within one unified platform. Walmart is also launching a new WFS (Walmart Fulfillment Services) Import Service for international supply chains.

This service will handle full-container shipments from manufacturers overseas (such as in Asia) directly to Walmart’s U.S. fulfillment centers, offering reduced freight rates and a smoother import process. Alongside that, Walmart introduced a Multichannel Fulfillment program that lets sellers use Walmart’s logistics network to fulfill orders from other e-commerce channels (with unbranded packaging), making Walmart a one-stop solution for inventory storage and fulfillment across platforms.

Another seller-friendly initiative rolled out for 2025 is Walmart’s New-Seller Savings promotion. This program offers significant incentives for new sellers joining the marketplace. Qualified new sellers who go live on Walmart.com after February 1, 2025, can receive substantial discounts on their referral fees (up to 30% off for initial sales volume and even 75% off for higher volumes up to a certain threshold).

Additionally, new sellers can earn credits up to $2,000 toward Walmart Fulfillment Services fees and $1,000 in advertising credits for Walmart’s ad platform. These perks, available through 2025, dramatically lower the cost of entry and encourage more businesses to start selling on Walmart’s platform.

For existing Walmart sellers and those considering expanding to Walmart, these updates underscore the marketplace’s rapid growth and commitment to seller success. Walmart’s investments in promotional tools, international expansion, and seller incentives are positioning the platform as a serious contender to Amazon. Sellers should take note: 2025 is an opportune time to leverage Walmart Marketplace’s new features to reach more customers and boost sales, both in the U.S. and abroad.
